AI Feeds Pro RSS: publish reviewed summaries with clear provenance
An AI-assisted feed still needs the same publishing discipline as any other feed. Readers should be able to identify what you published, which sources informed it, when it appeared, and where corrections live. Design those relationships before automating the drafting step.
Decide what the feed entry represents
An entry can point to an original source article, or it can represent your own editorial summary page. Choose deliberately. If you publish a summary on your website, give that page its own canonical URL and permanent entry identifier. Link to the underlying sources within the summary so readers can follow the evidence.
Do not present your summary’s publication time as the original source’s date. Store both values in separate fields and label any dates shown in the article. A newly written digest of older material should not make every referenced announcement appear new.
Preserve a useful source record
Keep the source title, URL, retrieved text, retrieval time, and the exact passages used during drafting. Record the reviewer’s decision alongside the final copy. This lets an editor investigate an unsupported sentence or a changed source without treating the model’s earlier response as the authoritative record.
Use a concise editorial note where it helps readers understand the process. For example, explain that software assisted with drafting and an editor checked the summary against its sources. The note should accurately describe the workflow you actually use; it should not imply a level of review that did not occur.
Give subscribers a complete reading path
Choose whether the feed carries the full reviewed summary or an excerpt leading to its page. The RSS best practices profile describes using a description for a summary and the content module for full HTML content. Whichever approach you adopt, preserve meaningful links and readable text in clients that simplify formatting.
- Open the source links and confirm they support the final claims.
- Check the entry’s identity and publication time against its page.
- Inspect the feed in a parser and a reader used by your audience.
- Record approval before the entry becomes publicly available.
Plan corrections as normal publishing work
Correct the existing page and feed entry under the same identifier when fixing that publication. Explain a material correction on the page when readers need the context. If you are publishing a genuinely separate follow-up, create a new entry that links back to the earlier report.
The curated news workflow covers selection and attribution in more depth. Reliable AI-assisted distribution grows from those editorial choices: a clear publication unit, traceable sources, and corrections that preserve the reader’s understanding.
