Chat Pro RSS: discuss feed entries without losing the evidence

A conversation about feed entries works best when every follow-up stays connected to a known set of sources. Prepare a small evidence bundle, ask one useful question, and track when the discussion changes scope. The result should remain understandable outside the chat.

Start with a bounded collection

Select the entries relevant to the question rather than pasting an entire archive. Give each a short label, title, canonical URL, and available text. State whether that text is a full article or an excerpt. If a decision depends on material outside the bundle, add the relevant source before asking for a confident conclusion.

For example, compare three maintenance announcements by asking which require a configuration change, what evidence supports that classification, and what details remain missing. A specific question makes follow-up work easier to judge than “tell me everything important.”

Make follow-ups explicit

Use source labels when narrowing the discussion: “For S02, explain the migration step using only the supplied text.” When changing the audience from developers to editors, say which technical facts must remain. When asking for a shorter answer, preserve citations and unresolved questions instead of allowing brevity to remove them silently.

The official ChatGPT prompting guide discusses supplying useful context and clear instructions. Apply that guidance to the conversation as a whole: the latest request should clarify the task without obscuring the original evidence boundary.

Handle disagreement before synthesis

If two sources appear to conflict, ask for the exact point of disagreement and the passages that support each interpretation. Check whether they describe different versions, regions, publication times, or stages of an announcement. Do not merge incompatible statements into an average or choose whichever was mentioned most recently in the chat.

  1. Restate the question and the source set being used.
  2. Separate established facts from proposed interpretations.
  3. Identify the additional evidence needed to resolve a conflict.
  4. Write a conclusion only as far as the available evidence allows.

Export an answer that stands alone

Before using the result elsewhere, include the decision, supporting source labels or links, relevant date scope, and remaining questions. Remove conversational references such as “as above” that lose meaning outside the thread. Review names, numbers, and quoted language directly against the supplied material.

The ChatGPT workflow guide offers a practical starting routine. Save the reviewed answer with its source bundle so a colleague can understand both the recommendation and the evidence behind it without reconstructing the entire conversation.
